Bay, CA, was awarded $1391 to install 13 signs
showing the location of pump-outs and
where to purchase and recycle oil
absorbent pads on the Morro Bay
waterfront and in Morro Bay State Park.

FL, was awarded $1600 to purchase 32
monofilament line recycling bins and 32
volunteer “tool kits.”

IA, was awarded $2000
to print 1,375 decals for boat
windshields reminding boaters to bring
their trash home with them.

Everglades for Everyone of Everglades
City, FL, was awarded $1685
to develop, print, and mail 5,000 “Code
of Ethics for Boaters and Fishermen in
the Everglades” brochures.

Boston Harbor Association of Boston, MA, was awarded $2000 to develop and print
1,500 brochures directed at boaters on
ways to protect water quality in Boston
Harbor.

Sea Scout Ship 1797, BSA of Winthrop, MA, was awarded $1500 to build a clean water
and boating safety mobile educational
trailer for use at public events.

City, MD, was awarded $1922
to develop and print 100 educational
signs that educate boaters about local
environmental issues.

to print 12 signs, 11 counter signs and
run two ads reminding boaters to keep
their waterways clean.

eight signs for the “Boater Awareness
Project.”

stay 100 feet from the shoreline.

boaters about preventing the westward
spread of zebra mussels.

boater workshops and boat shows.

to hold regular cleanups to remove trash
from salt marshes, tidal wetlands, and
beaches, enhance wildlife areas and
reduce the hazard of floating debris to
boaters in the Great Kills Harbor area.

to control shore line erosion in Watauga
Lake by laying down rolls of special
material made from coconut fiber,
helping stabilizing plants to grow and
protect the shore.
